Nokia N96

Having been publicly introduced at the 2008 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Nokia N96 is Nokia’s newest addition to its Nseries range of smartphones.  Its sales began in September 2008 in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, and the America, British and Chinese versions will be made available soon thereafter.

The Nokia N96 is a slick dual slider-style handheld measuring 4.0 x 2.2 x 0.7 inches and weighing 4.4 ounces.  It is available in black elegance with top of the line features such as:

  • 5 megapixel, double LED flash camera (Carl Zeiss optics) on its back side and a VGA video call on its front
  • 2.8 inch QVGA display screen, resolution 320 x 240 pixels supporting 16 million colors
  • 16 GB internal flash memory plus 16 GB MicroSD memory card
  • BL-5F (950 mAh) battery allowing up to 220 minutes of talk time and up to 220 hours of standby time
  • WLAN 802.11b/g, Micro-USB (USB 2.0), DVB-H class C, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity
  • Symbian OS v9.3, S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2 operating system
  • Audio playback: MP3/AAC/HE-AAC/WMA, Video playback: MPEG-4 SP/H.264/RealVideo/WMV9/Flash
